English Corner Activity:"Let's Chat"

    Jointly organized by English Cultural Village  and  Learning Department of SFL, the "Let's Chat" theme exchange activity was held in classrooms 304, 307 and 309 of Bowen Building, Lianhu Campus, at 16:30-18:00 on December 2nd, 2022. Foreign teachers Margie, Patrick, and Zamira Kasimova and some students of Grade 2020, 2021, and 2022 participated in this activity.

      This activity was divided into three sessions: questioning, experience sharing and free discussion. Firstly, the foreign teacher answered questions from students about their study and about the teachers' own experiences. In addition, the teachers asked students to share their own experiences, making them know each other better. Lastly, teachers and students gathered and communicated together, sharing their own feelings and  thoughts and exchanging different ideas. The themes of this activity were not fixed, so students could choose what they were interested in to communicate with teachers. In the activity, the students spoke enthusiastically, and while bravely sharing their own experiences, they also learned about the interesting experiences of foreign teachers. In addition, the organizer also provided rich and exquisite snacks and fruits. Everyone enjoyed the warm and leisurely atmosphere, and a joyful discussion. The kind words of the foreign teachers also encouraged the students to speak openly and positively.

      Through this activity, the students gained a different life experience. The students not only practiced oral English, got closer to foreign teachers, but also gained their enthusiasm for English learning. This activity was a collision of different cultures, focused on the theme. The activity came to a successful end with laughter.
