SFL of SASU - Member of Sichuan Colleges League for Governing Business English

On April 23, the inaugural meeting of Sichuan Colleges League for Governing Business English, Business English Committee of China Association of Foreign Trade and Economic Cooperation Enterprises, was held in Chengdu, Southwestern University of Finance and Economics.
Zheng Liang, vice president of China Association of Foreign Trade and Economic Cooperation Enterprises, Ministry of Commerce; Wang Lifei, chairman of Business English Working Committee of China Association of Foreign Trade and Economic Cooperation Enterprises, professor of Beijing Language and Culture University; Feng Guangwu, member of College English Teaching Advisory Committee of Ministry of Education, professor of Guangdong University of Foreign Studies; Xia Haiquan, professor of the University of International Business and Economics, as well as the presidents and department heads of more than 10 colleges and universities in Sichuan Province attended the meeting. School of Foreign Languages at SASU became one director member of Sichuan Colleges League for Governing Business English.
The meeting was presided over by Professor Zhang Jiarui, Dean of School of Foreign Languages for Business, Southwestern University of Finance and Economics.
The Regulations of Sichuan Colleges League for Governing Business English (Draft) was reviewed, and the annual work plan was also discussed during the meeting. Under the leadership of the Business English Committee of China Association of Foreign Trade and Economic Cooperation Enterprises of the Ministry of Commerce, the Sichuan Colleges League for Governing Business English will provide a good platform for teaching, scientific research and practical application for the regional development of Sichuan Province, and promote the high-quality development of business English education in colleges and universities, serve the national “One Belt, One Road” initiative and contribute to the strategic development of the Chengdu-Chongqing Economic Circle of Dual Cities.
